We are hiring an Expansion focused Sales Manager to lead our team of North America-based Commercial and Strategic Account Executives. This role will provide leadership and strategy to a team responsible for expansion revenue within our commercial and midmarket customer base. In this role, you will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and managing a team of account executives, in our effort to meet and exceed booking targets. You will help define and refine our expansion strategy in partnership with our customer success and renewal teams. You will partner with your peers who lead EMEA sales and North America-based new business sales. This role will work remotely and the on-target-earnings will be the direct results of the North America Expansion team’s performance against the company’s revenue targets. This role reports to the Global VP of Sales.

Job Responsibility

  • Grow, develop, and manage our expansion-focused Commercial Account Executives and Midmarket Strategic Account Executives based in North America who are focused on expansion pipeline creation and revenue within our existing customer base
  • Partner closely with the VP of Success, VP of Marketing and RevOps team to audit and review our tactics to drive expansion revenue while operationalizing proactive outreach to our NA customer base
  • Drive efficiency in Sales outreach and targeting
  • Lead with curiosity and ownership to understand the sales motions and tactics that are effective at bringing in expansion business and work closely with reps to implement throughout the team
  • Coach your team to understand a prospect’s business, identify and document their personal and business drivers, and build compelling business cases in partnership with the Customer Success Team
  • Drive CRM hygiene and ensure accurate forecasting of expansion bookings to CoderPad leadership
  • Create and test playbooks for expansion sale strategies, implementing learnings and continuing to evolve motions to drive expansions and cross-sales
  • Be accountable for the cross-sell and upsell strategies and execution in the customer base
  • Drive improvements in process, discovery and adoption of MEDDPICC sales strategy

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a complex sales process that involved cross selling multiple products with an average acv of $50k+
  • 1-2 years of sales leadership experience, managing a team of account executives
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue, quota, opportunity and activity targets as a net new individual contributor and sales leader
  • Leadership qualities that include proactive problem solving, effective written and verbal communication, and a team player mentality
  • Demonstrated ownership and willingness to go the extra mile to get something accomplished and support initiatives
  • Proven track record of partnering successfully with cross-functional, global teams
