Job Description:

The Cement Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and customer relationships for cement products throughout North and South Carolina. This role manages existing accounts, develops new business opportunities, and ensures consistent product availability by working closely with logistics, terminal operations, and technical support teams. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the construction materials industry, proven territory management experience, and the ability to build lasting customer partnerships with concrete producers, distributors, contractors, and infrastructure clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Grow cement sales across NC & SC through strategic account management and new customer development
  • Build strong partnerships with ready-mix concrete producers, precast manufacturers, masonry suppliers, and contractors
  • Identify project opportunities, track construction activity, and drive bid participation
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
  • Forecast customer demand and collaborate with terminals/logistics to ensure reliable supply
  • Stay current on competitor activity, market pricing, and regional construction trends
  • Use CRM tools to manage pipeline, customer visits, and sales reporting
  • Partner with technical services to address product performance and customer support needs

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of sales experience in cement, concrete, aggregates, construction materials, or industrial products
  • Strong knowledge of ready-mix operations and cement applications
  • Proven success managing a large geographic territory
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license
  • willingness to travel 50–70% across NC & SC

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or related field
  • Experience with DOT projects and cement specifications (ASTM C150/C595, state DOT standards)
  • Existing customer network in the Carolinas materials market
