Job Description:

David Zwirner is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Intern to support the Sales Team in New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a leading contemporary art gallery. Ideal candidates will be organized, reliable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic environment. The Winter/Spring internship runs from January through April. This position is Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday, 10AM – 6PM, with additional hours for occasional evening events. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months.

Job Responsibility:

Provide administrative and project support to the Front Desk and larger Sales Team
Assist with exhibition-related tasks
Support gallery openings and events across all David Zwirner NYC locations
Act as a gallery attendant, ensuring the security and presentation of artwork
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the public, answering questions about current exhibitions and the gallery's programming
Support the shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail and packages across all NY locations
Prepare materials for client viewings and assist with client book mailings as requested
Maintain and update internal resource documents
Routinely restock supplies, including staff kitchens
Ensure the pristine appearance of workstations

Requirements:

Highly personable, focused, and hardworking nature
A detail-oriented eye for the aesthetic needs of an efficient, organized, elevated office space
Ability to exercise diligence, be extremely organized, and possess a strong sense of time management
A positive, helpful, team player attitude
A strong interest in the rapidly evolving marketing landscape of the art world
All candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT

Nice to have:

Passionate and interested in the arts/larger creative arena or is eager to learn
