The Sales Install Technician plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by performing high-quality residential installations while identifying additional products and services that improve comfort, safety, and system performance. This hybrid role blends technical expertise with customer-facing communication, ensuring each homeowner receives both a professional installation and personalized recommendations that fit their needs.
Job Responsibility:
Perform residential installations of equipment, systems, or components according to company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes
Conduct on-site assessments to verify job requirements, identify potential challenges, and ensure accurate installation planning
Educate customers on system operation, maintenance needs, warranties, and available service plans
Identify additional opportunities for upgrades, accessories, or complementary services that enhance system performance or customer comfort
Provide clear, professional estimates for recommended add-on products or services and close sales when appropriate
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and customer interactions in company systems
Ensure jobsite safety by following all company, OSHA, and industry safety protocols
Collaborate with dispatch, sales, and management to ensure smooth scheduling, communication, and customer satisfaction
Represent the company brand with professionalism, courtesy, and a customer-first mindset
Requirements:
Experience in installation, field service, or a related skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low-voltage, or similar)
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Comfortable discussing product benefits and presenting upgrade options to customers
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in attics/crawlspaces, and perform physical tasks
EPA certification, trade licenses, or manufacturer training (preferred but not required depending on industry)
