The Sales Executive is responsible for securing revenue, client growth and maintaining commercial client relationships across both direct and agency for Time Out Asia’s Hong Kong market. Working closely with Head of Sales, media agencies and long-term brand partners, the role requires a detail driven operator to build and take new commercial opportunities to market and grow Time Out’s presence in the industry. You will be passionate about the advertising industry, creative solutions, well connected and a strong people/experience oriented professional. The Sales Executive is responsible for seeking out and maintaining new and existing business across the digital, print, social and experiential. To prospect for new business and drive the full sales cycle. They will receive a sector and agency patch and will be tasked with sales targets.
Job Responsibility:
Prospect commercial leads by utilizing online and offline sources to cultivate new business
Continuously develop and maintain a pipeline of business from both agency and direct clients
Drive the full sales cycle – i.e. attain new business through a variety of means including prospecting
pitching for new work
negotiating to optimize deals for Time Out
executing and closing deals to a high standard
client relationship development
long-term client retention
Consistently aim to close new deals with the ambition to exceed monthly sales targets
Work autonomously with sales support including the Campaign, Branded Content and Editorial departments
Run their own patch like their own business and help train/ develop new team members where needed
Support the wider sales and campaigns team where needed
Delegate to campaign managers for commercial production and to compile accurate post-campaign reports
Consistently remain up to date on our audience stats, point of difference and key products
From time to time you will also need to Project or Campaign manage larger, strategic programs
Requirements:
1-3 years sales experience
Bi-lingual preferred (English & Chinese)
Passion for travel, food, drink and arts/culture
Hustle, grit and ability to service clients
Ability to develop business
