The Sales Executive is responsible for researching and executing an effective sales and marketing strategy within assigned geographical area, customer base, and/or market niche, to include developing competitive analysis, market research with plan execution and evaluation.
Job Responsibility:
Confirm estimating capacity with Estimating Manager before committing to bid
Prepares Pre-Bid Form and updates as necessary before bidding process
Completes Bid Bond request form and forwards to Bonding Agent along with a copy of the commercial bid documents
Ensures erector scope provided to estimator twenty four hours prior to bid
Coordinates erector commercial qualifications and final pricing
Ensures all field coordination costs are evaluated
Reviews Bid Documents and ensures all commercial requirements are addressed such as scheduling, bonding, sample subcontracts, minority requirements, insurance, etc
Researches and compiles a list of all sub fabricators based on project location, special requirements, etc
Consults with the Sub-Fabrication Manager in regard to this information
Researches and implements any ideas for a competitive edge on the project
Maintains a chase list and provides updates to the Estimating Manager
Requirements:
Minimum of five years’ sales experience in structural steel fabrication environment
Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
Must have a solid track record with owners, general contractors, and/or erectors
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where prompt customer response is critical
Must be able to work independently and have a proven track record in sales
Must have excellent oral/written communication skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Excel
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required
