Job Description:

CVS Healthspire™ Life Science Solutions (LSS) is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to support client engagement and drive growth across Real-World Evidence generation, Safety & Surveillance, and Clinical Trial Recruitment capabilities. The role involves identifying revenue opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to life sciences clients. The successful candidate will align client needs with CVS Health’s data and care infrastructure to generate real-world insights and improve patient outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively identifies, quantifies, and pursues new business opportunities
  • cultivates strong relationships with key stakeholders at accounts and prospects
  • leads consultative conversations to understand client objectives
  • manages the full sales cycle including outreach, proposal development, pricing, and negotiation
  • leads business development efforts through account planning and cross-sell initiatives
  • monitors market conditions to adapt strategies
  • shares industry data within and across business units
  • educates stakeholders on LSS capabilities
  • serves as a subject matter advocate for CVS Healthspire’s solutions
  • translates complex services into actionable solutions
  • stays informed on emerging trends
  • coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to secure approvals and develop feasible proposals
  • collaborates with sales and marketing teams to align strategies and generate opportunities
  • maintains Salesforce records and account plans
  • communicates account needs to senior leaders to inform strategy
  • negotiates and coordinates sales targets with senior leadership
  • mentors and supports internal colleagues to build an environment of collaboration.

Requirements:

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Life Sciences Sales – particularly in selling RWE and HEOR research
  • knowledge of Real-World Evidence (RWE), Real-World Data (RWD), and their applications in life sciences research and development
  • knowledge of Life Sciences companies' purchasing process, including key stakeholders and influencers in RWE, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial
  • knowledge of the prescription benefit management (PBM) and/or Payer environment
  • knowledge of life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotech industry product and R&D pipelines
  • knowledge of the competitive landscape of RWE/RWD service providers and data sources
  • knowledge of data governance processes and requirements
  • skills in cultivating strong internal and external relationships
  • skills in driving consultative sales of recruitment into protocol-driven clinical trials, RWE, and RWD solutions
  • skills in driving growth and retention of a multi-million-dollar portfolio by consistently delivering on sales metrics and KPIs
  • skills in engaging stakeholders across scientific, operational, and executive levels
  • skills in delivering compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client objectives
  • ability to communicate clearly and persuasively across technical and non-technical audiences
  • ability to maintain strong organizational skills while managing multiple priorities and accounts
  • ability to meet or exceed sales targets and business development goals in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to navigate large, matrixed organizations to build alignment and drive opportunities forward
  • ability to represent clients' needs internally to support solution development and delivery.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of clinical trials operations and decentralized or pragmatic study models
  • knowledge of industry regulations and trends (21st Century Cures Act, FDA guidelines or RWE)
  • knowledge of patient recruitment models and engagement strategies in clinical research
  • skilled in co-developing client-facing materials, SOWs, and pricing models for client proposals
  • skilled in translating client objectives into actionable project scopes and timelines
  • skilled in maximizing technology/platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to build long-term relationships
  • ability to use a variety of communication methods to effectively communicate complex messages
  • ability to represent LSS at industry events as a subject matter expert
  • ability to foster long-term client relationships that lead to sustainable revenue growth and expanded partnerships.
