Time Out Market Budapest is looking for a Sales & Event Manager to join our team. This is a key, dual-focused role responsible for driving and managing corporate group sales to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets, while also providing operational support and leadership in the day-to-day running of the Market and the coordination of events, ensuring a seamless, high-quality guest experience.
Job Responsibility
Drive and exceed annual sales targets across food & beverage and venue sales revenue
Prepare, present, and negotiate comprehensive proposals and contracts
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize corporate event and private sales opportunities
Proactively identify and develop new markets, business opportunities, and revenue streams
Support budget forecasting and prepare sales reports, performance analyses, and revenue projections
Act as the primary point of contact for all group booking and event enquiries
Coordinate, finalize, and communicate all event and booking details accurately with relevant internal departments
Work closely with the Operations team and Market vendors to ensure exceptional client satisfaction
Oversee the on-site execution of large-scale events
Support the management ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Market
Build and maintain relationships with both B2C and B2B customers
Help maintain operational excellence
Carry out any additional duties assigned by management as required
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in sales, event management, hospitality, or a similar role
Fluent in Hungarian and English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong numerical skills, including budgeting, financial calculations, and revenue management
Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and support teams
Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and the local corporate events market is considered an advantage
Experience with Tripleseat or other event management software is an advantage
A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
