We’re hiring our first Sales Engineer in Sydney, making this a unique opportunity to shape the function from the ground up. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll drive revenue growth through consultative, solution-led selling. This is a full-cycle, highly strategic role where success comes from deeply understanding customer environments, uncovering risk and inefficiencies, and positioning Eftsure as a trusted partner in payment protection and supplier verification. Beyond that, you’ll have a blank canvas - the autonomy to design processes, refine how we engage customers technically, and influence how the Sales Engineering function evolves locally. As Eftsure continues to scale, there is a clear pathway for this role to grow into a leadership position, building and mentoring a team underneath you. You’ll work closely with prospects across finance, treasury, AP, procurement, and IT, helping them navigate fraud risk while designing solutions that integrate seamlessly into their existing systems.
Job Responsibility:
Lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand customer challenges, risk exposure, and operating environments, and position Eftsure’s solutions accordingly
Deliver tailored, high-impact demos that clearly articulate business value, not just product features
Translate complex customer requirements into practical, scalable solutions across payment integrity, supplier verification, and fraud prevention use cases
Support RFIs/RFPs, develop proposals and presentations, and contribute to pricing and commercial discussions
Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on customer needs, feedback loops, and go-to-market messaging
Stay current on industry trends, emerging buyer needs, and the competitive landscape within payments, fraud, and verification technology
Develop a working understanding of ERP, TMS, and procurement platforms to support customer integration discussions and solution design
Represent Eftsure at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings, contributing to brand awareness and thought leadership
Help define and implement Sales Engineering best practices in Sydney, with the opportunity to scale this into a team as the business grows
Requirements:
3–7 years’ experience in enterprise B2B SaaS sales or Sales Engineering
Strong preference for experience within payments, treasury, fintech, risk, or adjacent technologies
Proven experience selling into enterprise or mid-market organisations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Demonstrated track record of contributing to high-performing sales teams and consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Strong presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Analytical mindset with experience developing solution proposals, sizing, and technical documentation
Ability to quickly grasp customer challenges related to payments, supplier data, fraud risk, and financial operations
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch
Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work across functions and time zones
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events as needed
