The Sales Engineer is responsible for design, price and quote automated end-of-line solutions for the manufacturing and warehousing industries focusing on robotics and laser guided vehicles.
Job Responsibility:
Develop solutions for key accounts and provide sales support
Meet with potential customers to evaluate their needs and understand their processes
Analyse customer data and develop cost effective warehouse solutions
Develop layouts using AutoCAD to illustrate the proposed solutions
Analyse technical information and use various sources of information to select the appropriate equipment for the project
Analyse customer’s bid package and technical specification to select the appropriate components to be used in the scope of supply
Complete documentation for the internal order management process
Develop pricing to be used internally in evaluation of project profitability
Develop and discuss pricing scenarios with the sales team
Develop the bid package including material flows, functional descriptions, proposals, presentations and other material to effectively communicate the solution and investment to the client
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or related field
Automation experience (academic projects or work experience)
Proficiency with the following software packages: Ability to interpret engineering drawings
AutoCAD 2004 or newer
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
