We are representing a global leader in energy technology to find a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their team in Athens, Greece. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering and strategic sales, driving the aftermarket business for steam turbines and generators. You will manage the entire project lifecycle—from the first handshake and proposal drafting to final execution and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Identify business opportunities in a competitive market
lead the creation, editing, and writing of high-level technical proposals
Coordinate with engineering, factories, and field service groups to resolve technical configurations and scope changes during the quoting process
Manage projects from initiation to Final Acceptance (FAC), including contract reading, risk assessment, and financial controlling
Act as the primary point of contact for customer complaints and equipment issues, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
Manage spare parts inquiries (RFQs), drive improvements for urgent customer shutdowns, and maintain accurate data within CRM (Salesforce) and SAP tools
Requirements:
University degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
A minimum of 5 years of experience managing cross-organizational projects
Deep understanding of turbomachinery packages, driven units, and the industrial/power generation markets
Proven track record in project execution and financial oversight (costing, reporting, and risk mitigation)
Great command of English language (verbal/written)
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interpret complex contracts
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and maintain knowledge of a broad product range (Steam Turbines & Generators)
A methodical, self-supporting team player who can present effectively to various stakeholders and respect diverse cultural customs
