Job Description:

The Data Center Infrastructure Sales Engineer is responsible for direct support of internal and external customers to provide technical assistance and be an active member of the sales team to represent the company solutions. Responsible for pre-sale and post-sales support on product information, installations, and quality troubleshooting. The Sales Engineer is also responsible for enabling our sellers and partners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with sales and marketing to provide pre-sale and post-sale application engineering support
  • Create and update solutions presentations for end-user customers and Consultants
  • Act as liaison between North American customers and manufacturing/engineering
  • Interact with Enterprise System Engineers to gather and provide feedback to product line management and product engineering
  • Work closely with engineering and product line management for the design and development of new Data Center products
  • Develop on-site warranty certification inspection documentation
  • Provide training for installation partners and end-users
  • Contribute to Enterprise Solutions Data Center product literature maintenance
  • Support sales and marketing with any media activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer or appropriate field or equivalent job experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (10 years preferred) with structured cabling, design, and installation in mid to large Data Centers
  • Experience working knowledge of Data Center functional areas (MDA, HDA, EDA, ZDA, EF) and familiar with data center industry trends
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN systems and physical media requirements, including wireless applications
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Hold Current Certification BICSI RCDD, BICSI DCDC or other Data Center design certifications
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills

Nice to have:

  • Hold Current Certifications such as BICSI DCDC, CDCDP, DCS/P
  • Demonstrated experience with local structured cabling standards (e.g. ANSI/TIA 568, ISO 11801, ANSI/TIA-942-A)
