Our client is a premier provider of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services is seeking a visionary Sales Director to lead its national commercial strategy. This critical appointment comes at a time of significant transition within the UK industrial and aerospace landscapes, where aging asset lifecycles and the integration of predictive maintenance technologies are driving record demand for high-quality MRO solutions. The Sales Director will be responsible for the overarching revenue growth of the UK business, managing a high-performing field sales team and securing multi-million-pound service contracts with enterprise-level clients.
Job Responsibility
National Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year sales roadmap that aligns with the company's UK expansion goals and evolving market trends
High-Value Acquisitions: Lead the negotiation of complex, long-term Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and framework contracts with Tier 1 industrial, aerospace, and defence partners
Team Performance & Coaching: Direct and mentor a national sales force, instilling a culture of consultative selling and technical excellence while ensuring consistent quota attainment
Cross-Functional Synergy: Work closely with the Operations and Engineering Directors to ensure that sales promises are matched by technical capacity and turnaround time (TAT) efficiency
Requirements
Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience in a Sales Director or Senior Sales Management role, specifically delivering high-growth results in a technical or capital-intensive service environment
Sector Expertise: A robust understanding of the MRO lifecycle, including rotable components, inventory management, and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., CAA, EASA, or industrial equivalents)
Strategic Acumen: The ability to move beyond transactional sales to build 'partner-of-choice' relationships with major UK infrastructure and manufacturing hubs
Mobility: As this is a national role, the individual must be prepared for regular travel across the UK to engage with regional teams and key accounts
