Job Description:

Carex is partnering with a healthcare technology partner to find a Sales Director focused on driving growth across a portfolio of healthcare interoperability, identity, imaging, and semantic terminology solutions, leading strategic sales efforts within the healthcare technology vendor space by building relationships with key stakeholders and helping organizations solve complex healthcare data exchange and data quality challenges. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in healthcare IT sales, a consultative approach to account management, and a passion for emerging technologies, including AI-enabled workflows and innovation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify and develop net new business opportunities within the healthcare IT vendor ecosystem
  • Manage and strategically expand existing accounts through thoughtful account planning and cross-sell initiatives
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships using a consultative, trusted advisor approach
  • Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, solution positioning, proposal development, demonstrations, negotiations, and closing
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to maximize customer success and business opportunities
  • Present at client meetings, industry events, and business development engagements
  • Maintain expertise in healthcare IT trends, interoperability solutions, data quality initiatives, and emerging technologies
  • Conduct consistent outreach and maintain detailed account activity within Salesforce CRM
  • Use AI tools and workflows to improve reporting, planning, analysis, forecasting, and overall sales effectiveness
  • Develop reusable AI-driven templates, prompts, and automations that improve productivity and consistency across sales activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare IT, or a related field
  • equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5–10+ years of experience in complex healthcare software sales and account management
  • Proven track record of closing both net new and expansion business within healthcare IT environments
  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability, health IT systems, and modern data exchange challenges
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and building long-term customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complex sales opportunities and coordinate cross-functional resources
  • Passion for technology and delivering customer-focused solutions
  • Experience leveraging CRM tools such as Salesforce for pipeline and activity management
  • Comfort adopting and integrating AI tools into daily workflows and business processes
  • Ability to travel regularly, including air travel and extended driving within assigned territories
  • Candidates must be based on the West Coast
