Job Description

The Sales Director will serve as a key member of the local leadership team. Your mission is to drive top-line growth and market share through strategic leadership across all sales channels, including Modern Trade, General Trade, and Emerging Channels. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be the primary driver of the commercial agenda, ensuring that the company's portfolio remains the dominant choice in every Malaysian pantry.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute the long-term sales strategy for Malaysia
  • Full ownership of the national sales budget
  • Lead top-to-top engagement with major retail giants and distribution partners
  • Lead and develop a large-scale sales team
  • Leverage data-driven insights to anticipate consumer trends and competitor moves

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of commercial experience in the FMCG sector
  • Proven track record of success in a Country Sales Lead or Commercial Director capacity
  • Extensive experience navigating the complexities of the Malaysian Modern Trade and Distributor-led General Trade landscapes
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience in managing large, diverse teams and driving cultural change within a multinational framework
  • A strategic thinker with the grit to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
