A fast-growing, technology-driven cybersecurity organisation is seeking a high-impact Sales Director to lead and scale its commercial presence in Malaysia. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships within the country. You will be responsible for translating regional growth objectives into strong local execution, establishing the organisation as a trusted cybersecurity partner in the Malaysian market.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute Malaysia-focused sales and business strategies aligned with long-term regional objectives
  • Identify emerging cybersecurity trends, customer needs, and market opportunities within Malaysia
  • Drive aggressive revenue growth through new logo acquisition, expansion of existing accounts, and entry into new market segments
  • Build and manage a strong, sustainable sales pipeline
  • Lead high-value client engagements, executive presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Build long-term relationships with enterprise customers, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Own and manage P&L for the Malaysia business
  • Optimise cost-to-revenue ratios and continuously improve sales processes and team productivity
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, cybersecurity best practices, and Malaysia’s data protection and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the senior commercial representative at industry events, forums, and conferences
  • Position the organisation as a credible thought leader in the local cybersecurity ecosystem
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, designing tailored cybersecurity solutions aligned to their business risks and requirements

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong “hunter” sales background with significant experience in cybersecurity or enterprise technology
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity solutions, risk management, compliance frameworks, and threat landscapes
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, managing P&L, and scaling sales operations
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities
