About the role: As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a key role in building the early sales pipeline for myPOS Order ePOS in Italy. You will focus on identifying and engaging prospective merchants, qualifying opportunities, and creating strong momentum at the top of the funnel in a brand-new market. Working across both inbound and outbound activity, you will generate high-quality opportunities and hand over sales-ready leads to the Business Development team for demo and close. This is a pure new-business role, ideal for someone who enjoys outreach, thrives on pace, and is motivated by building something from the ground up.
Job Responsibility:
Identify, research, and engage SMB merchants across target verticals in the Italian market
Run multi-channel outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels to generate qualified opportunities
Respond to inbound leads from marketing campaigns and digital activity, qualifying them against our ideal customer profile
Conduct discovery conversations to understand each merchant’s current setup, pain points, and readiness to switch
Ensure smooth and well-briefed handovers for the Business Development team, sharing full context on merchant needs and decision-making process
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for all prospect interactions and pipeline activity
Share feedback on market response, pricing objections, and competitor activity with the wider team
Requirements:
1 to 3 years of experience in sales, SDR, or business development, ideally in ePOS, SaaS, fintech, or payments
Experience working with ePOS, payment terminals, or hospitality / retail technology would be a strong advantage
A proven track record of achieving or exceeding outbound prospecting targets
Experience using prospecting and outreach tools
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain value clearly and confidently
A disciplined, organised, and data-driven approach to pipeline management
Fluency in Italian, with good working proficiency in English
