As a BI & AI SDR, you will focus on engaging prospects interested in AI-powered data visualization and analytics. You will introduce Actian’s BI solutions to business analysts, data teams, and end users—guiding them from initial interest or free usage into meaningful conversations. This role blends inbound qualification with strategic outbound outreach and offers strong exposure to product-led growth, analytics buyers, and modern AI-driven use cases.

Job Responsibility

  • Qualify & Convert Interest: Serve as the first point of contact for prospects exploring Actian’s BI and AI-powered analytics tools
  • Engage users of free or trial BI tools and qualify them for upgrade and expansion opportunities
  • Identify business needs, stakeholders, and use cases, and document insights in Salesforce
  • Prospect & Expand: Drive outbound outreach into target accounts and new personas within existing Actian customers
  • Prioritize accounts based on engagement data, intent signals, and ICP alignment
  • Support pipeline generation across net-new and expansion motions
  • Engage & Differentiate: Execute thoughtful, multi-channel outreach that highlights ease of use, business value, and AI-driven insights

  • 8+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external)
  • 8+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)
  • 8+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers
  • Health and Life Sciences industry experience

  • Holds team accountable for driving operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages/activities/tools of record (e.g., pipeline updates, time tracking)
  • Drives team on orchestrating, collaborating, and influencing across Microsoft and customer/partner teams and leadership through on-strategy delivery to achieve customer/partner objectives and increase customer/partner satisfaction
  • Holds team accountable for anticipating and managing business and technical risks, adapting methodology and applying governance principles to identify, communicate, and minimize business and technical risks
  • Executes work in compliance with industry and Microsoft guidelines and procedures
  • Oversees continuous prioritization among competing demands in their work and identify where impact occurs with customers, ensuring alignment with business priorities and goals
