About the Role: We are seeking a Sales Development Executive to join our growing team in Shanghai. You will be at the forefront of our lead generation efforts, working collaboratively with the sales team to identify, qualify, and develop high-quality opportunities in the metals and mining sectors. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for client engagement, and the drive to build meaningful business relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct outreach to support telephone lead generation activities for both inbound and outbound opportunities
Develop a deep understanding of personas, use cases, and pain points for leads
Collaborate with the sales team to generate and provide qualified leads
Maintain accurate records of client contact pipeline management using our CRM system
Assist in telesales campaigns as needed
Create and manage a pipeline of demos and trials for our new subscription services
Work closely with the regional sales team and Business Unit leaders to identify targets for new services and understand prospect business needs
Develop high-quality leads and demos that are passed to the sales team for closing
Stay informed about market dynamics and emerging opportunities in the metals and mining industries
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top university in China, or equivalent qualification from a leading university outside of China
Few years of working experience in consulting or financing in a client-facing role, preferably in the mining and/or metals industries
Experience in sales, telesales, or account management roles (or bright, talented individuals looking to start their sales career are welcome to apply)
Proven experience in telesales, lead generation, cold-calling, and campaign management
Experience working in an information subscription business (preferable)
Comfortable using CRM systems for workload and KPI management
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Goal-oriented with high energy and enthusiasm
able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-driven environment
Customer-centric mindset with the ability to build rapport with clients
Analytical skills and ability to work smart to meet targets within agreed timescales
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Fluent written and spoken English
