Our client, a leading provider of smart energy solutions, is on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Consultant to drive the adoption of Solar PV and low-carbon technologies for new residential projects.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and secure new business opportunities with regional and national housebuilders, residential property developers, and design-and-build contractors
Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including Technical Managers, Sustainability Managers, and Procurement Managers
Drive Solar PV specifications during the early design and planning stages
Manage the sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract award
Act as a trusted advisor on Solar PV system design and compliance with Building Regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to produce technical proposals and value-engineered solutions
Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, balancing margin protection with developer cost constraints
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting via CRM
Stay updated on housing market trends, Building Regulations, and competitor offerings
Represent our client at industry events and networking opportunities
Requirements:
Proven experience in B2B consultative sales within construction, property development, building services, or energy/renewables
Demonstrable success in selling technical solutions with long sales cycles
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Consultative, solutions-led sales approach
Confident engaging at both technical and commercial levels
Highly organised with strong pipeline management skills
Resilient and self-motivated in a target-driven environment
Nice to have:
Experience with Solar PV or low-carbon technologies
Knowledge of Building Regulations and sustainability requirements
