Job Responsibility:

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions
  • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth
  • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range
  • and actively learning about their features and benefits
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced
  • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within home furnishing or high-value items retail industry
  • Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and sharing the IKEA product range with customers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and the ability to build strong relationships
  • An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self-motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs
  • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range and tools
  • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting
