As a Sales Co-Worker, you will be responsible for optimizing the shopping experience, maximizing sales, and contributing to overall store goals through various activities such as advising customers, maintaining an organized shopping area, and driving business growth. You will also work collaboratively with other team members and use IKEA tools and customer insights to meet expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Optimise the IKEA shopping experience in your shop to secure satisfied customers and increase sales
Maximise sales in your area of responsibility using knowledge of your product range, your top-sellers, 3 Aces and 1 King and the local market and customers
Support the efficient working of the IKEA mechanical sales system to ensure the continued success of the IKEA Concept
Contribute to fulfilling the four tasks of the IKEA store: to act as a highly efficient, and staffed sales mechanism, to show home furnishing solutions full of inspiring home furnishing ideas, to serve as a well-qualified home furnishing specialist, to provide a day out for the whole family
Actively approach customers who require additional help and identify their needs by asking the right questions
Advise customers on the best solutions for their homes to exceed their expectations
Understand and use the different IKEA sales and communication channels
Keep your area clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked
Ensure IKEA basic merchandising standards
Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits
Take responsibility for department goals and department action plans
Actively offer all services available in the IKEA store to improve the shopping experience
Lead or support the implementation of planned commercial activities in your department
Maximise sales while maintaining profitability by steering towards top-selling and prioritised products
Analyse and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters
Contribute to IKEA's social and environmental commitments.
Requirements:
Business-minded and result-driven with a customer focus
Experience of actively selling through understanding customers and their needs
Experience of working in a customer- and commercial-oriented business
Confident in approaching and talking to people in a proactive manner
Interest in people’s everyday life at home and home furnishing
Enthusiastic and able to work with others in a team
