As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities include engaging and assisting customers, selling products, maintaining a clean and organized sales area, and building strong relationships with your team. This role requires availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts, and 3 out of 4 weekends per month.

Job Responsibility:

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions
  • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth
  • Maintaining a clean and organised sales area, ensuring all products are properly priced and fully stocked
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Requirements:

  • Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and sharing the IKEA product range with customers
  • A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable shopping experience
  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage your own tasks
  • Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA IT systems and tools
  • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting
