Job Description:

As Sales Co-worker in the Self-Serve Warehouse, your responsibilities will include assisting customers in understanding their needs, preparing furniture warehouse sales spaces, being an IKEA product expert, assembling products, and promoting a collaborative work environment. The role involves physical workload, regular lifting, and engaging directly with customers.

Job Responsibility:

Engaging and assisting customers in understanding their needs and actively selling the IKEA range
Preparing furniture warehouse sales spaces for replenishment by condensing stock using lifting techniques, pallet jacks and other appropriate manual handling equipment on a regular basis
Being an IKEA product and service expert - learning about their features and benefits and IT systems to be able to provide accurate information and book orders and services
Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced
Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality
Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Requirements:

Passionate about home furnishings and sharing the IKEA product and service range features and benefits with customers
You prioritise safe work practices and you are comfortable with a physical workload and very regular manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting
A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and build strong relationships
An authentic approach in actively selling and self-motivated to meeting sales and warehouse efficiency targets
A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, always with the customer in mind
Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range, tools, and systems
