Job Responsibility:
Engage with customers to understand their needs and confidently recommend the IKEA range
Prepare and replenish warehouse sales areas using pallet jacks, lifting techniques, and other manual handling equipment
Become an IKEA product and service expert, learning features, benefits, and using IT systems to book services and manage orders
Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced
Assemble IKEA products following instructions to ensure safety and full functionality
Work closely with your team and other departments to build an inclusive, collaborative environment
Requirements:
Passionate about home furnishings and sharing the IKEA product and service range features and benefits with customers
Prioritise safe work practices and are comfortable with regular manual handling and physical tasks
Highly active and physically capable, able to stand for up to 8-10 hours per-shift and walk approximately 15,000 steps per day in a busy retail environment
A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and build strong relationships
An authentic approach in actively selling and self-motivated to meeting sales and warehouse efficiency targets
A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, always with the customer in mind
Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range, tools, and systems
