Job Responsibility:

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and confidently recommend the IKEA range
  • Prepare and replenish warehouse sales areas using pallet jacks, lifting techniques, and other manual handling equipment
  • Become an IKEA product and service expert, learning features, benefits, and using IT systems to book services and manage orders
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced
  • Assemble IKEA products following instructions to ensure safety and full functionality
  • Work closely with your team and other departments to build an inclusive, collaborative environment

Requirements:

  • Passionate about home furnishings and sharing the IKEA product and service range features and benefits with customers
  • Prioritise safe work practices and are comfortable with regular manual handling and physical tasks
  • Highly active and physically capable, able to stand for up to 8-10 hours per-shift and walk approximately 15,000 steps per day in a busy retail environment
  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with others, you can understand the customer's needs and build strong relationships
  • An authentic approach in actively selling and self-motivated to meeting sales and warehouse efficiency targets
  • A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, always with the customer in mind
  • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range, tools, and systems
