Job Description

An established, market-leading consulting firm is hiring a Sales Capture Manager to originate and lead complex professional services deals across financial services - banking, capital markets, insurance, asset and wealth management. You will own mid-sized, multi-stakeholder deals (typically 1-15m) across advisory, data and insight, AI, TOM redesign and M&A-related services, working with senior client decision-makers and internal delivery leaders to shape and close high-impact engagements.

Job Responsibility

  • Originate, qualify and lead complex professional services sales opportunities in FS from first conversation through to close, typically in the 1-15m range
  • Shape value propositions spanning M&A advisory, insight and data, AI-enabled solutions, target operating model redesign and wider consulting services - not product or licence sales
  • Act as "first chair" on deals, coordinating virtual teams from consulting, delivery, legal and finance to build compelling proposals, commercials and negotiation strategies
  • Build and deepen relationships with senior stakeholders (typically VP, Head of Function, ExCo-1) in major banks, asset managers, wealth firms and insurers, positioning yourself as a trusted adviser
  • Manage long and complex sales cycles with discipline, including pipeline management, forecasting, internal approvals and stakeholder alignment across both client and internal teams
  • Maintain strong awareness of FS trends (regulation, digitisation, AI, operating model change, cost and capital pressures) and use this to shape relevant, insight-led conversations

Requirements

  • 4-8 years' experience in complex professional services sales, business development or sales capture roles, ideally within FS (banking, capital markets, commercial banking, insurance, asset or wealth management)
  • Proven track record of leading multi-stakeholder, people-led consulting deals - not IT implementation, SaaS licence or "product out of the box" sales - typically 1-15m in value
  • Background in professional services such as consulting, corporate legal services, data and insights, advisory or relevant FinTech where the model mirrors consulting-style capture
  • Strong gravitas and executive presence: able to sit in front of a VP at a global bank or asset manager and hold a structured, opinionated conversation without relying on high-pressure or transactional tactics
  • Clear, concise communicator and strong storyteller, able to frame problems, articulate options and bring to life complex propositions for senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable sales leadership: experience as primary deal owner, leading qualification, strategy, solution shaping and commercial negotiation, rather than supporting as an account manager
  • Comfortable operating with long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers and ambiguity
  • able to "plug in and play" quickly in a sophisticated, matrixed environment

What we offer

  • Car allowance
  • private healthcare
  • performance bonuses
  • car allowance in the region of £5,500-£6,000 per annum
  • Attractive performance-linked bonus structure aligned to sales outcomes and wider practice performance
  • Exposure to high-profile FS clients, complex cross-border programmes and a recognised consulting brand
  • Clear progression route into larger deal leadership and, over time, more senior sales capture roles
