Job Description:

The role of Sales Business Manager involves aspects of business strategy, business analytics, and performance management for GPS (Global Payments Solutions) sales business. The role supports Corporate and Institutional clients and requires high demands, including navigating a complex hierarchy and delivering results on tight deadlines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support execution of the Sales Operating Model & Strategy across Corporate and Institutional clients, to bring the sales model to life
  • Work across pillars of Governance, Reporting and Information, Engagement, Analytics and Propositions and Tactical Execution
  • Assist GPS Sales business meets growth targets as per the plan objectives
  • Help drive strategic initiatives and propositions, track sales performance, support sales risk management including controls and testing, and help deliver the right governance
  • Collaborate with the wider GPS organisation (Product, Service, Connectivity etc.) and CIB Coverage organisation to deliver client and sales requirements
  • Execute people agenda, to result in a high-performance culture
  • Coordination with internal and external providers to bring the right content, knowledge to teams, while identifying and uplifting best practices
  • Use data and analytics to drive new business development and roll out and key growth programs in identification of opportunities/mitigants required to grow GPS Sales business
  • Support business oversight of KPIs and success metrics, aligned to sales excellence culture
  • Build and maintain strong networks with key internal stakeholders, enabling execution at pace and be seen as a key influencer
  • Provides support and guidance in an environment that is often non-routine, delegated and has conditions of uncertainty.

Requirements:

  • Prior client facing experience and hands on delivery of solutions from a transaction banking and corporate banking and network banking perspective
  • Knowledge of the GPS business and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses
  • Strong critical thinking and insight skills
  • Strong communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Ability and confidence to work with internal senior management
  • Able to work with a considerable degree of self-motivation, proactiveness, autonomy and pace on high priority deliverables
  • High levels of resilience, delivering under pressure to tight deadlines in a change oriented, fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with data analytics methodologies, tools and systems is an added advantage
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
