Job Description

The Sales Associate will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Job Responsibility

Assist in receiving, stocking, pricing of merchandise
Maintain clean and orderly merchandise presentation
Provide positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware
Proactively assist customers in solving problems
Greet customers entering and throughout the store
Possess friendly outgoing demeanor
Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly
Forward customer complaints to management
Possess strong product knowledge
Assist customers with personalized service
Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment
Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise
Assist with maintaining back stock levels
Assist with daily maintenance and cleanliness of sales floor, stock room and outdoor area
Assist with merchandise resets
Provide assistance to Department Specialists
Ensure signage is current
Operate forklift with proper training
Communicate Store Support Center issues to General Manager
Communicate merchandising, cost control or sales ideas to General Manager
Participate in store meetings
Be professional in appearance and actions

Requirements

High School or GED equivalent
Formal retail experience preferred
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing

Nice to have

Formal retail experience
