Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in Covina, California. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional service to customers while supporting retail operations for a nonprofit organization. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and develop your sales expertise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide friendly and attentive customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper records
  • Assist with data entry tasks to support inventory and sales tracking
  • Manage incoming donations by sorting and organizing items appropriately
  • Support retail operations by maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and provide product recommendations
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking merchandise as needed
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or sales is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • Basic cash handling skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with data entry and inventory management processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workspace
