Job Description

Join our team as a Sales Assistant and make a difference! Our retail outlets generate essential income that directly supports the hospice. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you'll support the Retail Manager and wider team in the day-to-day running of our Chesterfield Shop. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staff, managing stock, preparing and merchandising products, and supporting the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers.

Job Responsibility

Ensure high standard of service to customers is always maintained
Actively support any fundraising promotions as directed
Implement any promotion in the shop as directed
Support training, development and motivation of a team of staff and volunteers
Ensure the shop is safe, clean and well presented
Overseeing staff, managing stock, preparing and merchandising products
Support recruitment, training, and development of volunteers

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to different customer challenges
Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities and targets
Knowledge of cash handling/banking protocol
Experience of being a Key holder
