Job Description:

Are you passionate about customer service? Would you like to work in a colorful and inspiring workplace? We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team based in the Bristol Paints Capalaba store on a part-time basis. Reporting to the store manager, the successful candidate will provide customer service to assist in the sale of PPG products. The role will also involve some warehousing duties, such as assisting with storing and dispatching items. The warehouse and store are air-conditioned.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and establish relationships with our customers
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store team & Trade team to improve sales potential within the store
  • Tinting and mixing paint, pelletizing paint drums, arranging orders for delivery, and colour matching
  • Assisting with product dispatching and storage
  • Deliveries using the Store vehicle (where applicable)
  • Merchandise and replenish stock promptly and ensure it is presented well
  • Store housekeeping and following the store’s safety standards
  • Manual Handling of 32 kgs

Requirements:

  • Previous retail assistant experience with the desire to provide excellent customer service
  • Keen to learn new skills and have an invested interest in building expertise on our products
  • The roster will alternate between Monday to Friday one week, and Tuesday to Saturday the next week
  • Comfortable with manual handling as part of your normal day (lifting heavy paint tins up to 32 kgs, pushing and pulling trolleys, using pallet jacks, standing for long periods, kneeling, loading the ute for paint deliveries, and doing the delivery and unloading)
  • A valid driver's license is essential
  • Paint experience is not essential - training is provided
  • Forklift license will be highly regarded, but not essential
