St Margaret’s Hospice Care has an opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join our friendly team, working 14 hours a week in our welcoming Yeovil High Street Store. You will work on Sundays (6.5 hours) and one weekday (7.5 hours), helping to keep the shop running smoothly and creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door. This is a permanent role with an annual salary of £9,066.82, and you’ll be joining a team that truly values the difference you make. There may occasionally be a need to work additional hours to cover staff leave as required.
Job Responsibility:
Support the shop manager and deputy in the running of the shop
Delivering friendly and approachable customer service
Sorting and lifting donated goods
Merchandising and creating eye-catching shop displays
Following till and cash handling procedures
Helping to support and motivate a team of shop volunteers
Promoting the services and fundraising activities of St Margaret’s Hospice
Requirements:
Previous experience in a retail environment is desirable but not essential
Demonstrable high standards of customer service
Good communication skills
