This position will be a key part of the (Country) business by providing both inbound and outbound lead generation and client engagement campaigns. The role will work closely with the sales, operations, marketing and architect teams to drive net new incremental marketing qualified leads (MQL) and sales qualified leads (SQL) for the (Country) business. The role will require a lot of calling, some amount of rejection and challenging discussions with prospects which means the right person will be able to keep going when the campaign results can seem daunting.
Job Responsibility:
Identify high potential clients
Understand our position and value proposition in each vertica
Conduct Linkedin and market research based on instruction provided by BDM
Create a list of high potential clients and 2-3 compelling reasons to reach out
Nurture the high potential clients and build trust & relationship
Lead generation
Outbound telemarketing into target verticals for Alibaba Cloud solutions
Qualify and setup meetings (BANT qualified)
Client and partner event registration in (Country)
Event acquisition
Reminder calls
Follow up post event for qualification
Database cleansing for local lists of clients and partners
Requirements:
Previous sales experience (preferably in an IT environment working as a Sales Development Representative)
Bachelor's degree. Education in a technology or computer subject is an advantage but not essential
At least one year's sales or marketing experience
Proficiency in both English and Chinese and is mandatory
Interest in the technology industry and knowledge of the local and global IT market
Self-starter and resourceful
Ability to forge relationships quickly
Comfortable on the phone with senior executives from multinational companies
Quick thinker and ability to react to changing conversation and different personalities
