This position is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies, plans, and programs primarily designed to increase catering events, maximize revenues, plan and assist in implementing social events for our membership and promote a positive image of the facility. Responsibilities include the implementation of various strategies including direct and/or telephone sales, direct marketing communications, advertising, special event promotions and community & member relations, etc. Responsibilities also include creation and publication of the club's marketing collateral through all relevant medias including print, html, email and social media platforms, conducting periodic market research to provide information essential for revising current collateral, which enhance the Company competitiveness in the marketplace, as well as for fiscal and operational analysis as appropriate. Maximize the club's profitability from the catering sales, while assisting in event execution and coordination.
Job Responsibility
Develop and implement sales strategies, plans, and programs to increase catering events and maximize revenues
Plan and assist in implementing social events for membership
Promote a positive image of the facility
Implement direct/telephone sales, marketing communications, advertising, special event promotions, community and member relations
Create and publish marketing collateral through print, html, email and social media platforms
Conduct periodic market research
Maximize club profitability from catering sales
Sell catering events including weddings, social events, school events, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and trainings
Assist and coordinate sale of golf outing and tournament events with food and beverage
Build relationships with hotels, convention contacts, wedding organizations, etc.
Develop and organize group events, special events, member social events
Maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and outside contacts
Ensure customer contact personnel understand all details to maximize satisfaction
Monitor facility activities and recommend improvements
Maintain knowledge of industry developments through marketing and wedding periodicals
Work with Chef to schedule personnel for private functions
Develop detailed plans for each catered event
Assist in preparing marketing plan to increase banquet profitability
Create and facilitate banquet event orders
Develop social media strategies
Monitor sales goals to budget and develop strategies
Assure timely submission of banquet sales reports
Complete monthly marketing snapshot
Perform other duties as directed
Requirements
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations
BA or BS degree preferred
3 years applicable sales and management experience, preferably in the golf, wedding or hospitality industry
Demonstrated experience and capability in budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, staff management and sales
Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems
efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays
