This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, proactive Sales & Events Manager to join an award-winning hospitality business. The role plays a key part in driving revenue, managing the full lifecycle of events, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across three unique Kent venues: Balfour Winery, The Winemakers Pub, and The Tickled Trout.
Job Responsibility:
Drive corporate event sales across the venues
Generate revenue through proactive outreach, inbound enquiry management, upselling, cross-selling, and seasonal promotions
Manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline to maximise conversion and revenue growth
Identify new business opportunities and continually seek ways to improve sales performance and processes
Promote venue features, experiences, and additional services to maximise booking value
Manage the full event lifecycle from first enquiry through to final execution
Plan and deliver private events, corporate functions, and weddings with creativity, organisation, and attention to detail
Oversee logistics including timelines, site visits, layouts, tastings, menus, schedules, and supplier coordination
Ensure seamless handover to venue operations teams so each event runs smoothly
Maintain high standards of service and ensure every venue is fully prepared for each function
Champion the client experience from initial contact through to post-event follow-up
Manage client communication through the booking platform Sonas
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners to encourage repeat bookings and referrals
Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries, host site visits, and prepare tailored proposals and contracts
Manage reactive enquiries while nurturing long-term client relationships
Gather feedback and insights to continually improve the guest experience
Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and venue FOH teams to coordinate promotions, contracts, billing, and reporting
Maintain accurate CRM data and event administration, ensuring enquiries, contracts, function sheets, invoices, and documentation are up to date
Ensure online listings, imagery, and venue descriptions are current and reflective of the brand
Represent Balfour at exhibitions, showcases, and industry networking events
Work with the finance team to manage invoices, deposits, and payment schedules
Work closely with the FOH to allow them to deliver the events you plan
