Cloudera is seeking an experienced and motivated sales advocate for our AI and Cloud portfolio Sales Advocate for our AI and Cloud portfolio (12-month fixed-term contract) with a background in software selling and partnerships. This individual contributor role is critical in advocacy for our partners in the field as part of our data anywhere for AI everywhere business. This role must work across our global partner ecosystem, and to focus and prioritize for the greatest impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute the business plan for Cloudera solutions across key partners
  • Build and track revenue pipeline by collaborating with Cloudera sales teams—from opportunity identification in Salesforce to customer wins
  • Partner with Cloudera’s Global Alliances Lead to develop a joint pipeline with key Cloudera AI and Cloud partners
  • Coordinate with Cloudera sales & marketing to plan and report activities aligned with marketing development funding
  • Secure approvals and ensure activities are completed within the partner timelines
  • Submit proof of completion and performance documents for timely pay-out
  • Serve as the internal champion for key partner marketing and business efforts across Cloudera

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role, with a strong focus on technology sales and partnerships
  • Demonstrated success in administering alliance and revenue operations
  • Familiarity in executing selling models, reseller, distribution, OEM/VAR and cloud marketplace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of software or related technology fields, with a proven track record of executing operational strategies
  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Technology or business training, knowledge of tools used at Cloudera, Google G-suite workspace, Salesforce or similar CRM
