Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Sales Administrative Assistant to support membership growth initiatives for an organization serving the agricultural community in Irvine, California. This Long-term Contract position will help strengthen client and partner relationships while coordinating sales support activities tied to employee benefit offerings. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a service-minded approach, and the ability to keep sales operations organized in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Generate and follow up on prospective business opportunities across agricultural employers, brokers, associations, and related industry contacts
  • Support outreach efforts by coordinating calls, meetings, referrals, networking activities, and event participation to expand market presence
  • Prepare clear proposals, presentation materials, and supporting documents that help communicate benefit program options to prospective groups
  • Maintain accurate records of account activity, pipeline progress, and sales milestones to keep opportunities moving forward
  • Cultivate ongoing relationships with clients and partners by providing timely updates, consistent communication, and responsive service
  • Explain benefit offerings, enrollment steps, and participation guidelines in a clear manner to prospective and existing members
  • Work closely with internal teams such as underwriting, client support, and compliance to assist with onboarding, renewals, and service follow-through
  • Help organize enrollment sessions, educational meetings, and other member-facing events as business needs require
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and workforce trends within the agricultural sector to support informed sales planning

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales support, account coordination, administrative support, or a related customer-facing role
  • Strong ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders
  • Comfort preparing presentations, proposals, reports, and other business documents with a high level of accuracy
  • Organized approach to managing multiple priorities, tracking follow-ups, and maintaining detailed records
  • Familiarity with consultative selling principles or experience supporting benefits, insurance, or service-based solutions is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a high level of discretion
  • Proficiency with standard office software and digital tools used for scheduling, reporting, and sales activity tracking
