We are seeking a dynamic and relationship driven Sales Account Manager with experience in the home décor, lighting, tabletop, or tablescape industry. This role is responsible for managing and growing key retail accounts, including big box retailers and specialty retail partners, while driving revenue growth and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate understands retail buying cycles, merchandising strategies, and product positioning within the home goods space. This position offers a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to work closely with internal teams including product development, marketing, and operations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and grow relationships with key retail accounts including big box retailers, national chains, and specialty home décor retailers
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and partnership
Drive sales growth through account development, upselling, and new product placement within existing retail partners
Partner with buyers and merchandising teams to present seasonal collections, new product launches, and promotional programs
Develop and execute account strategies, sales forecasts, and business plans aligned with company revenue goals
Analyze sell through data, market trends, and consumer insights to optimize product assortment and pricing strategies
Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, product development, and operations to support account success
Coordinate product launches, promotions, and merchandising initiatives with retail partners
Monitor inventory levels, replenishment needs, and order fulfillment to ensure product availability
Prepare and deliver sales reports, performance analysis, and account updates to leadership
Attend trade shows, industry events, and retailer meetings as needed
Identify new retail opportunities and strategic partnerships within the home décor and lifestyle market
Requirements:
3 to 7+ years of sales or account management experience in home décor, lighting, tabletop, housewares, or related consumer goods industries
Proven experience working with big box retailers, national retail chains, or major retail buyers
Strong understanding of retail merchandising, seasonal product cycles, and product placement strategies
Experience presenting products to retail buyers and negotiating pricing and promotional programs
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, forecasts, and retail performance metrics
Excellent communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects in a fast paced retail environment
Proficiency with CRM systems, Excel, and sales reporting tools
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
Nice to have:
Experience in home décor brands, lighting manufacturers, tabletop brands, or lifestyle consumer goods companies
Experience selling into big box retailers such as Target, Walmart, Costco, Wayfair, or major department stores
Background working with imported product lines or global supply chains
