This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world’s leading EPCM companies, working on site in the Pilbara on a FIFO basis on a well-known Mining project. The Safety Supervisor plays a key role on the project, providing practical support, expert advice and guidance across site activities. This role helps ensure the effective implementation of the Health and Safety Management System and supports the delivery of project safety objectives. Success in this role requires strong relationships with peers, supervisors and contractors, along with a practical approach, sound judgement and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will support the implementation of the site Health and Safety Management System, provide specialist advice and help foster a strong safety culture across the project.
Job Responsibility
Provide health and safety subject matter expertise to the EPCM team
Promote positive safety interactions and practical outcomes while applying industry best practice
Provide mentoring and safety leadership through positive engagement with the project and contractor management teams
Lead and coach CRM implementation and other safety initiatives as directed
Support contractor management teams to implement, monitor and review the site safety management system and related initiatives
Help stakeholders interpret health and safety compliance requirements, including legislative obligations
Requirements
At least 8 years’ experience in the mining industry, including construction projects and operations
Experience managing contractors
Ability to lead in the field and influence behaviours at all levels of the project, particularly among contracting partners
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work efficiently
