Job Description

As a Safety & Security Pool Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of hotel guests, team members, and property, with a primary focus on pool and recreation areas. This is a part-time position, the schedule for this role will be Friday - Sunday 10:00am - 6:00pm with some flexibility due to business needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Patrol assigned areas of the resort, including pool and recreation areas, to ensure guest and team member safety
  • Maintain a visible security presence and provide professional, courteous guest assistance
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, incidents, and guest concerns
  • Investigate, document, and report accidents, incidents, losses, and disturbances in a timely and accurate manner
  • Complete detailed incident reports and required documentation
  • Conduct bag and cooler checks
  • Conduct patrols throughout the pool, ensuring egress points are secured
  • Conduct routine lockups and unlocks of hotel facilities as assigned
  • Perform daily and monthly safety inspections
  • Assist with traffic control and pedestrian flow when required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and take appropriate action when required
  • Support ongoing efforts to reduce risk of injury, loss, and property damage

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience, required
  • CPR and First Aid Certification, required or ability to obtain within first 60-days
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
  • Ability to write clear, accurate, and timely incident reports
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Previous hotel or resort experience
  • Prior security, safety, or public safety experience
