The Safety & Security Manager oversees all aspects of the property’s safety and security operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the protection of guests, associates, and hotel assets through the consistent implementation of safety policies, emergency procedures, and loss prevention practices. The Safety & Security Manager leads daily operations focused on accident and fire prevention, incident response, and compliance in line with Marriott International standards, Curaçao laws, and Autograph Collection brand expectations. This role maintains accurate documentation, certifications, and reports as required by law and company policy, while fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout the hotel. A proactive approach, strong leadership presence, and commitment to guest and associate well-being are essential for success as a key member of the resort’s Crisis Management Team.
Job Responsibility:

Maintains accurate documentation, certifications, and reports as required by law and company policy
Fosters a culture of safety awareness throughout the hotel
A key member of the resort’s Crisis Management Team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Security Management, Risk Management, or Hospitality Operations preferred
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar security leadership role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
Proven knowledge of security operations, emergency response, and loss prevention procedures
Strong understanding of local laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to workplace safety and hotel security
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse security team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and local authorities
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when managing confidential or sensitive information
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure or during emergency situations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and security systems (CCTV, key control systems, access management)
First Aid and CPR certification required
Fire Safety certification is an asset
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as needed
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu are an advantage
