Ensure a safe and secure environment for co-workers and customers through training, audits, inspections, and follow-up
Ensure all safety and security systems are fully functional at all times in line with IKEA standards and national/local legal requirements
Meet IKEA safety and security standards by achieving positive results in SecCheck and insurance inspections
Coordinate with the store’s Emergency Response Team and management to handle emergency cases according to IKEA Emergency Response rules
Complete incident reporting and logging in IRS, conduct monthly trend analysis, report findings to management and departments, and investigate root causes
Maximize store profit by reducing operational loss, managing insurance reports and claims, reducing fraud, and protecting IKEA assets
Improve sales, customer satisfaction, and market performance by partnering with store stakeholders on inventory accuracy, theft prevention, and peak traffic management
Investigate internal and external incidents and recommend resolutions and routine revisions when necessary
Work with the management team on sensitive issues such as harassment, co-worker misconduct, information security, and lawsuits
Partner with the Country Safety & Security Manager to ensure compliance with IKEA standards, risk management frameworks, and legal requirements

Requirements
Understanding of IKEA business and culture
Understanding of business processes and customer needs, with the ability to drive continuous improvement
Demonstrating leadership by example
Knowledge of relevant safety and security processes, tools, and working methods related to the role
Knowledge of national and local legal requirements
The ability to remain calm, flexible, and resilient in a demanding environment

Experience coordinating, managing, or leading IKEA safety and security programs or projects is preferred
