Job Description

In this role, you are responsible for the full product safety lifecycle of the chemical, food and feed products we source and distribute globally. You combine regulatory knowledge with practical risk-based decision-making and act as a trusted partner for internal stakeholders across operations, procurement, sales and logistics. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of regulation, product safety, dangerous goods and business reality in an international trading environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Assess and document product, regulatory and business risks across the product lifecycle
  • Perform product risk assessments for chemical, food and feed products
  • Review, manage and validate Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Work with stakeholders across our affiliates to make quality policies easy to understand and implement
  • Ensure correct CLP classification, labeling and hazard communication
  • Monitor and interpret evolving legislation (EU and non-EU) and translate it into clear, actionable guidance
  • Provide expert advice on chemical, food & feed and product safety regulations, including REACH, CLP and food & feed legislation
  • Support and advise on dangerous goods compliance (ADR, IMDG, IATA) in close cooperation with logistics and operations
  • Manage country-specific registrations, notifications and regulatory reporting
  • Support feasibility studies and new business initiatives from a product safety and compliance perspective

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or a related field
  • Around 5 years of experience in product safety, chemical regulatory affairs or a similar role
  • Solid working knowledge of CLP and SDS management
  • Experience with REACH, food & feed regulations and/or dangerous goods (ADR, IMDG, IATA) is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks such as TSCA or Eurasia is a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese and Dutch is an asset but not required
  • Structured, analytical and pragmatic, with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset
