Job Description:

Are you a dedicated safety professional looking to make a real impact in the heart of Western Australia? We are seeking a proactive Safety Officer to join a WA Government team in the Wheatbelt for 6 month contract with potential extension. You will play a critical part in maintaining an excellent safety culture, ensuring the team and contractors return home safely every day. You will be responsible for everything from documentation review to testing and incident investigation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and review comprehensive Safety Management Plans
  • Audit and review contractor safety documentation to ensure alignment with site standards
  • Lead and participate in risk assessment workshops to identify and mitigate operational hazards
  • Conduct regular Alcohol and Drug testing
  • Lead and undertake ICAM-level investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
  • WA White Card
