We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Safety Officer to join our team. Job Responsibility:
Reviewing Safety Documents: Thoroughly review all safety documents of contractors before they enter the activity area
Conducting Safety Seminars: Lead mandatory Occupational Safety and Health seminars for newly hired workers, ensuring compliance with R.A 11058 and DOLE 198-19
Daily Inspections: Perform daily inspections of the working area to identify and mitigate potential hazards
EHS Walkthroughs: Lead the team in conducting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) walkthroughs
Toolbox Meetings: Conduct daily toolbox meetings to discuss safety protocols and address any concerns
Site House Rules: Recommend and implement site house rules to enhance safety
Supervision: Oversee working conditions, methods, and manpower to ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards
Safety Assessments: Assess and validate safety conditions, issues, and concerns, and submit recommendations to improve project safety
Safety Monitoring: Conduct safety monitoring and inspect any health or safety aspects of operations, involving supervisors and workers
Government Inspections: Assist government inspectors during safety and health inspections, providing necessary information and OSH reports as required by OSH standards
Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time
Requirements:
Graduate of any 4-year course
COSH Holder and other related Health and Safety training
Experience as a Safety Officer or Senior Safety Officer in the building construction industry or a related field
