Job Responsibility:
Personally exhibit and mentor others to foster our culture guided by the ANDRES Five Core Values
Assist the project Superintendents and Project Managers in the development of safe work plans
Lead project team in supervision, coordination, and implementation of site-specific safety program and risk assessments
Prepare and update site-specific safety policy
Conduct site-specific orientation training program
Provide for proper start-up of the project regarding proper posting of all jobsite
Full knowledge and understanding of all local, state, and federal OSHA requirements
Conduct and document safety inspections on project site
Document and investigate all incidents
Accompany OSHA compliance officers and insurance inspectors during on site audits
Evaluate subcontractor qualifications, training programs, and competency
Collaborate with ANDRES Construction’s Corporate Safety Director and Regional Safety Managers
Evaluate project safety performance and provide guidance on trends
Understand the principles of Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP)
Facilitate any project specific safety training
Attend Environmental Safety & Health Departmental meetings
Set-up new & maintain existing incident report electronically
Perform all aspects of claims management
Track incident claim report status & create summary reports
Basic understanding of Worker’s Compensation Laws and/or processes
Able to frequently walk the jobsite
Able to physically negotiate the hazards of a construction work site
Share knowledge on the ANDRES Forum
Requirements:
College degree OR 2+ years of construction experience
