Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development, monitoring, and review of the Endeavour Group Safety Strategy
  • Manage compliance of notifiable incidents/dangerous occurrences, handling serious incidents, and improvement notices
  • Manage the preparation of self-insurance audits, taking accountability for closing out action plans
  • Monitor the Endeavour Group audit process, escalating corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with Self-Insurance requirements
  • Support the management of the Endeavour Group Risk Profile and oversee brand specific risks by regularly reviewing and updating risk assessments as necessary
  • Monitor and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) across all sites, ensuring currency and compliance
  • Ensure records and data are maintained within procedural requirements, ensuring information is current, compliant, and readily accessible
  • Develop and lead a high-impact team of 4 Safety professionals, overseeing SH&W reporting for internal and external bodies
  • Provide advice to the Leadership team on all matters related to Safety, Health & Wellbeing
  • Identify opportunities for consultation with stakeholders on SH&W performance and establish/monitor the SH&W budget

Requirements

  • Diploma in Wellbeing, Health & Safety (minimum)
  • Experience within a relevant or similar role (10 years)
  • Extensive experience within Health & Safety, with knowledge of regulatory law
  • Leadership and coaching experience, with the ability to facilitate training sessions to groups
  • Team management experience, to effectively lead and develop a team of 4
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience, with the ability to influence and partner with Senior Leaders Nationally
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong focus on strategic planning
  • Proven experience in investigating complex incidents, identifying the root cause and making recommendations to prevent recurrence
  • Extensive knowledge of HVNL and relevant legislation

Nice to have

  • ICAM and Chain of Responsibility training is desirable
  • Experience developing and influencing business wide strategies, programs and initiatives is desirable
  • First aid and Mental Health training is desirable
