Job Description:

The Safety/Driving Eligibility Assistant primarily answers and follows-up on incoming calls from the “How Am I Driving” program, including TM communication and point assessment. This team member will professionally answer complaint calls and gather information that will be utilized to improve driver safety performance. The Safety/Driving Eligibility Assistant assists store and Distribution Center management with systems and process questions related to Motor Vehicle Records (MVR’s).

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer the “How Am I Driving” program including accepting and professionally handling customers/callers
  • Process and distribute mail to the Safety Team
  • Process disqualifying offences that are reported according to department procedure
  • Work with stores and DC’s to ensure the MVR dashboard reflects accurate data
  • Assist store and DC management with questions regarding MVRs, MVR entry, driver eligibility
  • Notify store and DC management of ineligible drivers
  • Ensure that all red-light citations are processed
  • Enter motor vehicle accident data into team members’ MVR
  • Ensure compliment calls are communicated
  • Recommend solutions and assist in identifying trends and suggestions to reduce motor vehicle accident frequency
  • Communicate with and assist Store and DC leadership in all aspects of our delivery policies and eligibility
  • Follow-up to ensure MVR and drug test are completed as per policy
  • Work with Risk Department management and team members in other risk management areas
  • Provide department back up as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets and related software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong detail orientation

Nice to have:

  • College degree or some advanced training
  • Knowledge of O’Reilly Auto Parts store and distribution center operations
