Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
8+ years of EHS experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing/process environments
3–5 years leading maintenance safety programs or teams
CSP, CIH, CRSP, OHST, CHST or relevant safety certifications preferred
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process safety principles
Strong leadership, coaching, project management, investigative (root cause) skills
Excellent communication/ presentation abilities
Proficient with incident management and safety management software

Job Responsibility

Develop, implement, and maintain the maintenance safety management system, policies, procedures, and work controls
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, local regulations, industry standards, and company EHS policies
Oversee and continuously improve preventive programs
Lead safety strategy for maintenance activities
Direct and deliver safety training and competency programs for maintenance staff and contractors
Manage incident investigation and root cause analysis for maintenance-related events
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments of maintenance operations
Champion good catch, near-miss reporting, and safety culture initiatives
Coordinate with operations, engineering, reliability, procurement, and contractors to integrate safety
Oversee contractor safety prequalification, orientation, monitoring, and enforcement
