The Safety Data Analyst will manage safety-related data systems, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and generate actionable insights to support construction safety performance, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction across operations.
Job Responsibility
Oversee safety-related software solutions (e.g., incident management systems, learning platforms, audit tools), including module setup, user access, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable system performance
Manage and maintain safety data within ERP and related platforms, ensuring proper user access controls aligned with safety roles, certifications, and compliance requirements
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across safety systems, including incident reports, inspections, audits, training records, and OSHA-related documentation
Analyze safety data (e.g., incident trends, near misses, TRIR/DART rates, leading indicators) to identify patterns, root causes, and risk exposures across job sites
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools to provide real-time visibility into safety performance for field leadership and executive teams
Partner with Safety, Operations, and HR to translate data insights into actionable recommendations that improve site safety, compliance, and employee well-being
Support regulatory reporting needs, including OSHA logs (e.g., 300/300A/301) and other state or federal safety reporting requirements
Provide training and guidance to field leaders and employees on proper data entry, reporting expectations, and use of safety dashboards
Collaborate with safety leaders, project teams, and external vendors to implement and optimize safety data systems and reporting tools
Identify opportunities to improve safety data collection processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency
Establish and maintain best practices for safety data governance, audit readiness, and documentation retention
Stay current on safety analytics trends, technology solutions, and regulatory changes impacting data reporting and compliance in the construction industry
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Analytics or a related field / experience equivalency
Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in construction, industrial, or safety-related environments
Strong proficiency in BI reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), Excel, and data visualization techniques
Working knowledge of safety metrics (e.g., TRIR, DART, near miss tracking, leading indicators) and OSHA reporting requirements preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both field and corporate stakeholders
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for our company without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
Nice to have
Experience supporting or administering an ERP, CRM, or other enterprise application (user access, roles, configuration, troubleshooting)
Familiarity with data integrations (file feeds, APIs, ETL/ELT concepts) and reconciliation/exception handling
Comfort documenting requirements, supporting UAT, and writing SOPs/knowledge articles for end users
Basic scripting/automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Excel VBA) and/or ticketing systems experience
